I’ve never been nearly cut off from the world for more than two months.
I’ve never had to sit in the dark for 20 days.
I’ve never had to listen and hope for the sounds of someone, anyone, trying to rescue me.
So I can’t really speak from experience.
There’s a lot of bad in the world.
Or, at least, a lot of focus on bad in the world.
And, fact is, a mine collapse is, by all accounts, not a good thing.
But it was nice.
No, it was actually pretty darn great.
That for an entire day.
Instead of the usual hate, hate, hate.
We got to see something truly good and special happen.
I just hope.
Really, I just hope.
That it doesn’t take something bad to bring a day of focus on something good…
Ever, ever again.
